I really believe the secret to eating healthy and staying healthy is having great recipes. They should be simple, quick, and delicious. My husband use to tease me when we first got married, he’d ask me, “What are you heating up for dinner tonight?” Because back in those days all my cooking entailed removing food items from a box and heating it up. Over the years as my children came along I learned how to prepare meals from scratch. Now like you I’m learning to prepare healthy meals from scratch. Below I’ve listed some of my favorite blogs out there that have fantastic recipes for you to enjoy. So get cookin’ !

Chocolate Covered Katie – If you love sweets but have certain food intolerances like, gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, etc. You are going to love Katie’s version of some of your favorite snacks and treats!

Yummly- There are thousands of recipes on this site! They have unique search filters so you  can find the perfect recipe. Are you looking for something savory, but are allergic to seafood and dairy? You put in the parameters and yummly will do the rest!

Oh She Glows – This sight is strictly Vegan, but anyone looking for healthy plant based recipes will love this blog! There are also a good deal of raw recipes on this site as well. Next to Chocolate Covered Katie this one may be my favorite when it comes to the sweet stuff. She also has great cocktail and smoothie recipes. Enjoy!

Check back often because I will be adding to this list on a regular basis!

Hi Chante, I bought my Vitamix from you at Whole Foods at Tatum and Shea a few weeks ago. I have not yet taken it out of the box! Even though you made it easy and fun at your demo, I am feeling intimidated or something. I would love to know if you will be in my area again sometime so I can watch and feel confident about using it. Thank you! Shelley

Hi Shelley! I will be at the Scottsdale Epicurean Festival this weekend. It looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun, you should come check it out and watch the demos again. If that won’t work for you, try watching the dvd that came in your box. The chef will show you how to make a smoothie, ice cream, soup, etc. The DVD is specific to the 7500 and comes in three parts to teach you how to care for the machine as well the recipes. And then there is youtube. Just type in “Vitamix soup” or “Vitamix smoothie” and you will get hundreds of videos to watch and follow along with. It’s very easy, you can do it! Have fun and let me know how it goes.
