The Healthy Diva.
First and foremost I am a Food Nazi. I read labels, preach about what people should and shouldn’t eat, and haven’t read a piece of fiction for years because I’m too busy reading the latest health report on super foods and finding the next great Vegan recipe. I can get lost in a Whole Foods for hours, and if asked, “Have you seen that new food documentary?” Chances are I’ve seen it, twice. And while this blog will sometimes serve as my soap box to preach my latest conviction on “Eat this not that”, it really is a forum of honesty about where I stand with my food, my health, my emotions, and my body, with a recipe thrown in every now and again.
Attaining health is a journey. And coming into a “health consciousness” has been a process. It’s taken me many years to get to the point where I’m now taking responsibility for my own health and well-being. With that said, even though I know the right things to do, I still struggle making right choices for my health on a daily basis. I like junk food and I hate the gym! So, yes I’m human too.
My hope is that I can encourage you through my discoveries, victories and failures to treat your bodies like the beautiful temples that they are. And together we will redefine what it means to be healthy and beautiful.
Some other things you might want to know about me. Let’s start with a name? I’m Chante Trepte, a California girl at heart, but I reside in Phoenix. I have three gorgeous girls, and a wonderful husband who loves me despite my ranting about health every day. I own my own production company, and have had the opportunity to work with wonderfully creative individuals to create “fashion films”.
Meet my friends, the other Divas.
Every now and then I will feature some of my close friends on the Blog. They may share personal testimonies, recipes, reviews, or video’s of their latest health fling!
Jessica Kinni, is a model and reality star. She’s beautiful, smart, and has never had as an issue with weight. Like most young women, she took her health for granted. Many women think that because they are thin, they are healthy. However, over the past 2 years she’s become prone to food sensitivities and has had to develop a gluten-free lifestyle. For the first time ever she’s looking at the ingredients of her food over the calories, and having to learn how to cook all over again. Having an illness at such a young age has made her realize how unpredictable and fragile life really is, and that ulitmately she has to take control of her own health by making right choices everyday!
Cherelyn Baker, is a make-up artist, blogger, emcee, and mom. She has a heart for women: to love, encourage, edify and remind them how beautiful and valuable they are! Through her blog “Makeup University”, she tests and reviews beauty products, offers make-up tutorials, and even has her own ebook to teach you how to create the perfect glamour look for your wedding day.
Cherelyn answers the question, ” Is there a correlation between what you eat ad how you look and feel? Does it make sense to feed your body with healthy food then cover your face in synthetic chemicals? Women absorb five pounds of toxins through their skin per year. She’s our go to beauty guru to find the best all natural skin care and organic make-up lines.
Jennifer Era, is a personal trainer and wellness consultant. She’s been in the fitness business well over 10 years teaching such classes as indoor cycling (my favorite!), pilates, body sculpting and kettle bells, just to name a few. She’s a nationally published fitness writer and even freelanced for a relationship advice column! But there’s even more to be impressed about, Jennifer is all about the business of helping and inspiring people, she started in fitness working with cancer survivors. Jennifer understands the struggle to be well, as she fights her own battle to overcome Lupus using natural remedies and nutrition.
Taliah Tsunis, is a fun, charming and spiritual young woman who strives to live the fast paced city life, and come home to her beloved shabby chic cottage to wind down in simple living. Born and raised a vegetarian, later turning vegan…she has grown up with the knowledge instilled of mindful, healthy eating.
Taliah has a sincere knack for creating healthy substitues for tasty treats that are free of “guilty” satisfaction, processed ingredients, and junk! She loves taking dishes that normally wouldn’t be included in a cruelty free diet and “veganizing” them where you can’t believe it’s really vegan! She did receive an education in culinary arts and blended it with her natural forte for health to create her growing personal chef business. While daily growth in mind, body and health are of importance, her true passion lies in the domestic lifestyle of taking care of the home and is looking forward to the future of cooking for a husband and children.
